Baroness de Stern who died on Monday last was Julia daughter of the late Abraham Goldsmid. She was widow of the late Baron de Stern and the mother of Lady Sherborne, Lady Salomons (Wife of Sir David Salomons) Mr. Alfred de Stern and Mr. Herbert de Stern. Lord Wandsworth, Mr. Edwards Stern, President of the Jews' Deaf and Dumb Home and Mr. James Stern are nephews. Since the death of her husband, eleven years ago, the Baroness had lived in great retirement.
