Times newspaper notice 20 Jul 1844: On the 18th inst Hyman Hurwitz Esq Professor of Hebrew at UCL, he was held in high estimation for his great knowledge of biblical literature and endeared to all who knew him by his unassuming manners and amiable disposition.
